Overview and Evidence[]

The Man Dragon was a flying humanoid entity reportedly sighted several times in early January of 1926. One of the more obscure flying humanoids on record, the Man Dragon, like its West Virginian counterpart Mothman, has occasionally been blamed for a natural disaster, specifically the January 19, 1926 collapse of a dam known as the Xiaon Te Dam that allegedly killed over 15,000 people.[1]

Reports of the creature's physical appearance are near impossible to find, but the few details that exist paint a picture of a humanoid entity with enormous wings, similar to other winged humanoids.

The evidence for the Man Dragon's existence is near nonexistent. No photographs of the creature exist and only a handful of online sources appear to exist, with most of them simply referencing each other. Thus, the original source of the claims is unknown. In addition, online searches for a 1926 dam collapse in southeastern China bring up no real results that match; most of the online sources mentioning the Man Dragon neglect to mention exactly where in China the dam is supposed to be located, making further in-depth research nearly impossible. Due to this, it is likely that the Man Dragon is merely a hoax.
