The following are rules and guidelines that users of the High Strangeness Wiki are expected to abide by.

Page Format Guidelines[]

Pages on this wiki are expected to have detailed information. Please remember that all pages must include an infobox.

Users on this wiki are not to write "One-line" articles. These are articles that only include a few sentences and maybe an image (typically with no infobox). We ask that users do not do not stoop to this form of low-quality. If a user creates multiple pages such as this, then they may face punishment.

Content Guidelines[]

Pages that are created MUST be selected from List of Topics That Need Pages. This wiki will not tolerate any self-made content or OCs (own creations) to be written on this wiki.

If it wasn't already obvious, users are not allowed to add false information to pages. If your claim seems obscure, please remember to add sourcing to back it.

We will not tolerate any "troll" pages on this wiki. If a user creates a page along the lines of an ironic parody of the content of this wiki, then they will immediately be banned.

Please do not suggest or add pages based on blatantly mythological topics like youkai, Greek/Egyptian mythology, ESP, creepypastas, witchcraft, astrology, or conspiracy theories. There are no doubt exceptions to these content limitations on a case by case basis, such as La Llorona, but this is rare and should be discussed with an admin. Try to only suggest topics that have actual reported sightings.

Adding Templates[]

Users are NEVER to add templates without an administrators permission. This includes infoboxes, navigation boxes, etc.

Administration Policy[]

If users respect administrators, then they will certainly receive our respect in return. While us administrators are not tyrants, we will not tolerate any disrespectful behavior towards us or anyone else. If a user is being disrespectful and/or ignores our guidelines, then they will more than likely receive punishment.

"Edit Warring"[]

The term "edit-warring" refers to two or more users fighting over a revision on a page. One user makes an edit, the other undoes it, then the first user adds it back, and so on. Please remember to respect each other, if there are any disagreements, please message an admin to help work out your differences.

Vandalism & Purging[]

This wiki will not allow any purging or vandalism to this wiki. We will not tolerate any user adding inappropriate images or slurs to pages. Users do not have the right to delete the entirety of a page's content. If a user wants a page to be removed, then they should discuss this with an admin.

Consequences[]

Consequences for breaking any of the rules above may vary, but it is ultimately up to the administrator what your punishment should be. They could range from multiple warnings to an immediate ban.
